If you have to send your child from one region of Québec to another, check out the program for children travelling alone that has been set up by the Association des propriétaires d'autobus du Québec (APAQ) and its intercity carrier members. It provides safety and peace of mind.
This program is addressed to children from 8 to 12 years of age (inclusively) travelling alone in the intercity network.
Children under 8 years of age may not travel alone and must be accompanied by a person of at least 14 years of age.
Simply make a request to your intercity carrier or an agent at the terminal's ticket counter.
The following regulations are in place to ensure that the program runs smoothly:
Children travelling alone are never left with unidentified people, nor are they left alone in the terminal.
Yes, when the intercity carrier applies this program. However, we recommend checking with the carrier since some may have different regulations that the ones described here.
