Is there a rural public transportation service in my municipality?

There are two ways you can find this out.

  1. Go to section “Maps ”. Then you need only select your region to find out what public transportation is available. 
  2. Or you can contact your municipality.

 

What conditions apply to the use of rural public transportation?

The local carriers have their own operating rules with regard to fares, schedules and advance booking. You will need to contact them to confirm your reservation. You can find contact information, fares, schedules and terms in section “Maps ”. Then you need only to select your region. 

Can I use rural public transportation if I live elsewhere and under what conditions?

You should contact the local transporter and ask about services and booking conditions. You will find that kind of information in section “Maps

How can I get in touch with a regional/rural carrier?

You will find this kind of information in section "EspaceBus carriers". You can select the city, category or the first letter of the company name, and you will get complete contact information. 

Is there an association representing Québec’s rural public transportation organizations?

Yes. Founded in 2003, the Association des Transports Collectifs Ruraux du Québec  (ATCRQ) represents more than 30 rural public transportation organizations. It is particularly active in promoting the services provided by its members, but also in developing rural public transportation throughout Québec’s regions.
