"Qualité Tourisme" Certification provides consumers with an
objective tool to ensure they are doing business with a
professional company offering guaranteed quality services through
the implementation of rigorous processes. The certified company
guarantees its quality of services, notably customer service,
competent staff, optimal maintenance of its equipment, the
adaptation of its services to people with certain disabilities and
special needs, and respect for the environment. This certification
is granted by the Bureau de normalisation du Québec (BNQ), an
independent, impartial organization that is internationally
accredited.
Two member companies of Association des propriétaires d'autobus
du Québec, are "Qualité Tourisme" certified. In the fall of 2003,
Autocars Murray Hill inc., became the first private bus company to
receive certification according to the bus transportation service
standard. The second company to receive certification was Groupe
Bell Horizon, based in Trois-Rivières.
These companies equipped themselves with the tools and the means
to offer quality service to their clienteles. Every year, they must
take an exam given by a certification agent who evaluates how well
the company meets the requirements of the service standard.
